Lines, Vines, and Trying Times

Hollywood Records press release: “Jonas Brothers’ new album Lines, Vines and Trying Times is scheduled for world wide release June 16. Their first single Paranoid is dropping worldwide on May 8th.

The video for Paranoid will be directed by The Malloys, who previously worked with the JoBros on their Burning Up video. They have incorporated horns, harmonicas, and peddle steel guitars into many songs. Paranoid is a guitar driven dance evoking song.

World War III is a funk metaphor for a confrontational relationship. Written by Nick Jonas, he asserts. “This is a personal experience for me. World War III deals with the challenge of a girl who keeps attacking you, provoking you, trying to fight you, but all the while she’s the only one fighting.”

Fly With Me which is also the end title credit for the upcoming Night at the Museum 2 film, due in theaters May 22, was written by the JoBros and their bass player Greg Garbowsky, and is sure to become a love song for all ages.

Rolling Stone described Poison Ivy as a Weezer-ish tune about a toxic girl that you can’t resist.

Hey Baby is a classic ‘she done him wrong’ song written entirely by the JoBros. Nick explains, “We wrote this song for the last record while on the road and felt the old school sound was more cohesive with our present style.””

Rumor has it, Poison Ivy is referring to Camilla Belle, Joe Jonas’ sweetie. Camilla is set to play Poison Ivy, herself in a new upcoming flick.

I am interested in hearing what this “new” sound is that the JoBros are referring to. Will this record soar or flop?

Kevin Jonas=Godfather

Kevin Jonas is a godfather! His goddaughter Peyton Bella Hope was born on Saturday April 25 at 7:02am at Cedars Sinai Hospital in LA. I have no idea how this girl is related to Kevin, but Congratulations anyway. Wouldn’t that be funny if it was a fans child? I could see that happening.

Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens, both Disney Channel Stars, getting their big break in High School Musical, are trying to breakout of the Disney realm. Ashley is in the new movie They Came from Upstairs and Vanessa is in the new movie Bandslam. Both are also releasing new CDs.

But they both need to understand that singing is just not in their forecast. They don’t have the vocal range to sing the stuff they are trying to sing. And that, well, they are just too old to be a Disney star anymore. Ashley is like 23 or 24 and Vanessa is 21. I feel like when you hit the point when it is legal for you to drink you should get the boot from Disney, unless you are playing a parent in a show.

Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez?

Rumors have been confirmed-New Moon werewolf Taylor Lautner and Wizard's of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez are an item. Both have been hanging out nonstop in Vancouver- Taylor is filming the second installment of the Twilight series, New Moon; while Selena is there filming the new movie "Ramona and Beezus."

"Saturday night: they hd dinner at the Cactus Club in Coquitlam, emerged in great spirits, both with big smiles on their faces, Selena held on to Taylor's arm. At one point, after they had become separated and she fell behind to sign autographs, she ran back up to join him, throwing her arms around his neck, both bursting into giggles."

Taylor Swift kicked off her summer tour a few days ago. She is doing a lot of costume changes this time around instead of rocking one or two super cute dresses with cowboy boots. She has videos and pictures being projected onto her stage so that her setting is constantly changing.

Demi Lovato is only 16 years old and she graduated High School!! How does someone who is a Disney Star and pop sensation have time to be homeschooled and even graduate High School early? Way to go girl!

Demi Lovato joined her pal Miley Cyrus for the UK premiere of Hannah Montana: The Movie and both girls were wearing cute, short silvery dresses. Miley’s dress was – different. Very much reminiscent of last summers trend- wrap dresses or bandage dresses, with a 1980s shoulder pad twist. But she rocks it. Demi Lovato keeps it more classy with a sweet heart full coverage strapless A-line- very much like ones found at Forever 21. She adds flair in her grey and tan peep-toe platforms.

Princess Protection Program

Demi and Lovato and Selena Gomez, BFFs in real life, just finished up filming a Disney Channel Original Movie together: Princess Protection Program. And guess what? It finally has an official release date!!! It will air on Disney Channel Friday June 26 at 8 pm ET/PT.

In Princess Protection Program Demi plays a princess named Rosalind, who is rescued by Carter’s (played by Selena) father after a military takeover of her country, Costa Luna. Until her country is safe again, Rosalinda goes to live with Carter and her family, where she has to try to fit in with normal kids in their small town. They girls have to learn to put aside their differences to get along. So get ready to watch real-life BFFs go through some serious drama as Rosalinda and Carter.

Miley Cyrus- The Last Song

Miley Cyrus has signed on star in the movie The Last Song (originally a book by Nicholas Sparks) which is to be released in 2010. Director Julie Robinson specifically asked for Miley to play Veronica Miller because she believed that Miley’s life paralleled Veronica’s life. Um.. ya about that- full synopsis is below- what do you think?

Jonas Brother = Cocaine?

According to The Sun Universal Records executives went into a whirl-wind panic when they realized the title of the Jonas Brothers new album Lines, Vines and Trying Times contained a word often linked to cocaine.

Source revealed “Universal only gets involved with distribution and promotion when the record is completed. They were a stunned staff at Hollywood Records when they had failed to spot the ‘lines’ reference.”

They have already begun damage limitation by issuing a statement from Nick explaining the title: “Lines are something someone feeds you. Vines are things that get in the way and trying times, well, that’s obvious”

Pizza Girl

Jonas Brothers new song leaked- its entitled Pizza Girls and the lyrics suggest that they have “fallen in love with the pizza girl and now they eat pizza all the time.” What is this world coming to? My predictions say that this album will be a success- BUT the songs will be a flop. Come on they are 16, 19, and 21 years of age, I think they are capable of writing songs about something more interesting that the pizza girl- come on guys write song with content!!!

Elle Fanning (little sister to Dakota) also seen in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was spotted going to get her nails done in Studio City, CA with her mom. But that's besides the point. Does anyone else think her leg look crazy? I can't figure it out- something's wrong, it's like the left one is stationary and facing forward, but the left leg is twisted to a right angle. You know what? She might be doing the Tootsie Roll. Yes, that's it.

Nick and Miley back together?

According to the New York Daily News Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas want to officially get back together. Miley has been dating underwear model Justin Gaston for nearly 8 months but says her heart belongs to her first love, Nick.

The source spilled: “Miley and Nick want to get back together. Because they’re working together [on a new video], they’ve been put in close proximity to each other. They’re now spending more and more time together, and they’re constantly on the phone.”

When the two get together they are very affectionate: “Miley was over at the Jonas house recently, and they were smooching. Nick’s parents have this rule that when a girl is over, the door has to be open, but that didn’t stop Nick and Miley from making out.”

Miley is having trouble telling Justin about her and Nick, but Nick is said to be “firm with her.” He wants this just as much as she does. He is making Miley tell Justin as soon as possible. Kind of pushy would you say??

I feel like this might be a good thing, Miley can start dating someone her own age, and then that means Justin is back on the market.

J.Jonas and R.Patz Showdown

You knew it was coming- Joe and Camilla. Cute but different. Joe is 19 years old and Camilla is 22 years old- Joe likes an older woman. But think about it, Joe is competing with sexy Robert Pattinson – the sexy vampire from the new cult movie Twilight. Joe is competing with RPatz for the heart of Camilla Belle. So who will win her heart?

PS. Camilla's dress is from Target! Super cute and cheap!!!

Hannah Montana star Mitchel Musso has been spotted linking arms with Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun Johnson. The two went as "friends" to the Hannah Montana the Movie Premiere- super cute!!!

Disney Guys

Disney has very good taste in picking guys for Disney Channel shows. I'm 20 years old, so it is kinda weird for me to be like- "oo that Disney Channel star is really attractive" when he is only 15 or 16. But I'm ok with it- but it's true- the guys are going to mature very nicely. Well with the exception of Sterling Knight of Sonny with a Chance, he's kind of goofy looking, but he does have amazing blue eyes. Can I just ask the question of who names thier child Sterling? Were they picking out jewerly (sterling silver) and was just like "Oh I'll name my kid that- he sure wont be beat up at school." It's kind of a feminine name.

Besides him, there is a number of other Disney Channel star, to name a few:

Drew Seeley-- a disney channel star by association basically- he sang for the part of Troy Bolton in High School Musical 1 because Zac Efron was incapable of singing. He also toured with the High School Musical Tour as Troy Bolton. Recently he was the teen heartthrob singer in the movie Another Cinderella Story co-starring with Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez. (One of my favorite movies). He is easily hands down one of the most attractive guys associated with Disney.

Mitchel Musso--Oliver in Hannah Montana TV shows as well as the movie. He is dropping his debut album in June of this year- and he has a pretty decent voice- well his brother can sing (he's in Metro Station, along side Miley Cyrus's brother Trace Cyrus). He is pretty cute, but I was disappointed in the new Hannah Montana episode (**SPOILER ALERT**) when Oliver and Lilly are an item. I thought that Oliver and Miley would be super cute together, I really thought that the producers would hook those too up. He has a new Disney Channel Original Movie coming out in May called Hatching Pete along side Corey in the House's Jason Dolley. I'm not sure how I feel about the concept of the movie, it is basically teaching you to be yourself. But it's a weird spin off- using a mascot, and such.

Jason Earles- Jackson- brother to Miley Stewert in Hannah Montana Tv show and movie. I just find it creepy to know that he is 30 years old. He was born in the 70s, it's just weird, and in the show he is hitting on girls that are probably 16, now that is not right! Maybe he has the opposite syndrome that the movie Jack (with Robin Williams) portrayed. Like he is getting older but he looks younger. Crazy!

Nick, Joe, Kevin Jonas- need I say more? Gorgeous- taken, but beautiful nonetheless. Just one thing- Kevin should NEVER straighten his hair again!!! But I would like to see Nick with his hair straightened- I wonder what that would look like! PS new albums- cover can be seen on right, is coming out soon!!!

Jake T. Austin- Max in Wizards of Waverly Place- hilarious! It's crazy to see guys mature on the TV over time- like the Sprouse twins. They just wrapped up filming of the Wizard's of Waverly Place movie- it took place in Puerto Rico. Cant wait to see it.

David Henrie- Wizards of Waverly Place star- co-starred in DCOM Dad knapped, along side Hannah Montana's Emily Osment. He is beautiful- and very different from most of the Disney Channel stars- as seen in photos from filming for the movie in Puerto Rico, he was spotted at night clubs dancing, drinking (well I can't confirm if it was alcohol- but it is legal once you are 18 and he is), it's just that he doesnt flash a purity ring like the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus do, among others, but he is just showing that he is a normal teenager outside of his Disney facade. PS. he has a tattoo on his right arm.

Loves it.

American Idol contestant Kris Allen sang one of my all time favorite songs last week- Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard from the movie Once. His cover was very original and perfect for his voice range.

Can You Say Diva?

Joe Jonas=Diva. Did you know that every thing that Joe Jonas wears is strategically thought about- exactly what he is going to wear everyday, from his shoes to his sunglasses. He doesn’t just wake up and go to his closet and pick things out to wear. The night before he picks out his clothes to which he has put a lot of thought into, that he is going to wear the next day. He then dresses up his mannequin that he had specially made for him, that is identical to him, from sizes to looks- that’s right the mannequin looks just like him (creepy). He dresses this mannequin and even matches his sunglasses to his wardrobe.

But besides the mannequin- he straightens his hair everyday. He is very high maintenance. But recently he has been pulling the more natural look via hair. I am definitely digging the curlier hair rather than the straight hair.

Zac Efron is a triple threat, ok I said it. He can sing, dance and act. It’s really quite amazing, and unnatural at the same time, I don’t think people are supposed to be 1. a triple threat, 2. be so down to earth and 3. be so damn attractive. I will say that I am disappointed that he turned down the Footlose opportunity- and gave it away to Chase Crawford of Gossip Girls (who will dance and sing along side Julianne Hough of DWTS). I don’t know if Chase can sing or dance. Well all in all I just don’t think it’s even necessary to do a remake of the movie in general- it is such a classic. You cant remake Kevin Bacon. Next thing you know Hollywood producers are going to be doing remakes of Dirty Dancing and the Breakfast Club.
